Mommy felt light headed, shortness of breath and tightening in chest plus raised blood pressure….so she had to remain in the recovery room longer than normal. The OB wanted to rule out a heart condition or blood clot (especially with her blood disorder- MTHFR)…which meant more tests, and no visitors since she is still in the recovery section of L & D…well Mommy broke down and cried!!! She missed the other kiddos and wanted Gracyn and Warren to meet Owen sooner rather than later. The nurses working with Caitlin rearranged a 5 minute small family visit with just the two kids! (Luckily all tests checked out fine)…Mommy did have a postpartum hemorrhage and lost a pint of blood…this could have been the reason for the rough start!
